Had this conversation with my workmate a week ago or so. He's d only malay and we usually converse in English. He likes Fiona Xie and we were talking bout her.
Me: Have you seen Fiona Xie in real life?
Hafiz: Ahhhh no ah. But we are like far from eye, close to heart.
Me: Ahhhhhh? Like far from sight, but close to heart.
*Both think hard
Me: Ehhh sounds wrong. I think it should be in Malay. Jauh di hati, dekat di mata.
Hafiz: Noooo nooo, Dekat di mataaa..
Me: Jauh di hati?!
Ohhhh no no! Salah!
*Both thinking very hard again.
WTF!
It's supposed to be 'Jauh di mata, dekat di hati.'
As easy as that.
HAHAHAHA.
I'm back from Indon! Gue suka banagat dong sama Indon. And i had to work right after i landed, cool shit or what!
