absolute gratification.
7:45 AM
What a day!Yesterday, 9nov2006 was absolutely GREAT!
It was d day of our performance, d sept 11 attack.
You'll know about it very well if u've been reading my blog.
Heeeehhhh.
My day started very early. At 6am.
Our first performance was at 7.30am.
We reached admiralty pri at 6.45am and didnt have time for mic check.
Anyway, d sound guys were pretty cute la. And very helpful.
The individual wireless microphones were expensive.
Each individual mic cost more than $1000, one of d guys claimed.
Upon hearing that, i totali freak out. I had something worth more than $1000 attached to me!
HAHA.
Our drama instructor, Mr Rodney was dere too. =)
We did a final run before the show.
The first performance was for d upper pri school kids.
Pri 4,5,6.
We didnt do that well. We spoke our lines too fast. But the emotions we had were genuine.
And we felt that d young audience that we had could understand d play pretty well.
The second performance was at 12noon. For a much younger audience, pri1,2,3.
We rehearsed wif Mr Rodney before our second show. He implemented new ideas for our second show and we had to make it work.
We did it!
Second play was a success, i must say.
The lines were spoken very clearly and d emotions tat we had were visible.
Mr Rodney was quite pleased wif d performance, but said tat our transitions from one scene to another should have been done faster.
Ms hesley said it was GOOD.
Ms Nora was speechless.

After d final performance, i suddenly felt instant gratification.
And im pretty sure d other actors felt d same way.
=))
Went home and slept.

Gaaaaaaahhh!
At 8pm at d esplanade theatre studio.
The cast: Rodney Oliveiro(my drama instructor),Sani Hussin & more.
Anyway, Afnidah and i told Mr Rodney that we were going for d play he was acting in.
And his reaction was quite errrrrr.
He was like, "Serious? You guys are seriousli watching d play?"
HAHA.
And me and Afnidah were like, "Yahhhh.We wanna c Sani Hussin. Is he nice?"
Mr Rodney said, "Oh, he's nice. You guys can say HI to him after d show."
And he walked away, grinning.

Before d play, all excited!
The play was part of d Kalaa Utsavam.
This advert was everywhere in eslpanade.After d show, me and Fo walked outside esplanade to reflect on d play.

But ECSTATIC! The play was worth watching.!
The Seaparation:The Kalinga Trilogy Part 2 was the BOMB!
The play was really, really good.
Totali POWER!
HAHA.
And d cast was amazing!
Their acting was top-notch and SANI HUSSIN outshines d other actors, i must say.
But overall, it was a really,really good show with elements of dance, songs as well as comedy which was used to depict the more sensitive scenes.
I laughed my ass off during d 2hours show. Even d sad scenes had a pinch of humor.
The play dealt with the racial riots and trade union strikes in the '60s.
The play's multimedia aspects were terrific.
I wanna watch again! But someone must sponsor me laah.

Anyway, in case you are wondering, me and Fo didnt say HI to Sani Hussin after d show.
Very paiseh la!
But mr rodney did acknowledge us. =))
So, good ppl, go watch dis play. It's worth ur $20.
A hilarious play that you wil definitely enjoy.
I will rate it 4.5/5.
The 0.5 goes out to d fact that dere's a part 3 and i cant bear to wait for another year just to know d ending of dis play.
HAHA.
